Multi-colour novelties in Yuzu are currently a bit complicated, each colour is a different layer icon:

There currently isn’t a simpler way to set them up, though improvements here are on Yuzu’s roadmap! For now, the easiest way to change a key into a multi-colour novelty is to copy and paste from an existing keycap:

and that will copy everything you need over:

The premade kits are set up with plenty of novelties to copy from. If you started from a keyboard, there should be at least a few - see below for how to copy the ones you don’t have. If you are unable to find or add a novelty you want, please feel free to ask in my Discord for help!

Copying from a different set

Copying and pasting doesnt work across different browser tabs, but if you want to copy a novelty from a different set, there’s a way! Credit to MissEevee of CKC for this workaround:

1. Make a copy of the set you want to copy from, so you have a copy saved in your “my custom sets” in Yuzu

1. Open it, click the key you want, and click Copy

1. In the same browser tab, click the “open” menu button and open the set you want to copy to

1. You can now paste the key content / novelty etc in your custom set!
